Carole Robb Addiction Therapist Southampton brings over seven years of experience to her role at the Priory Wellbeing Centre in Southampton. She provides expert support to individuals struggling with addiction, anxiety, depression, and bereavement. Carole is an accredited member of the BACP and is deeply committed to guiding her clients through their recovery journey with compassion and expertise.
From the start of her career, Carole has been passionate about mental health and addiction recovery. Because of this dedication, she continues to offer therapy both in person and online. In addition to her work at the Priory, she also partners with a respected counselling organisation that supports individuals with gambling and alcohol issues. Furthermore, Carole runs her own private practice, where she works with clients facing a variety of complex emotional and psychological challenges.
Carole’s therapeutic journey began in 2012, and she initially trained in a person-centred approach. Her goal was always to create a warm, non-judgemental environment where clients feel truly heard. Over the years, she has expanded her methods to include integrative techniques, ensuring her therapy remains flexible and tailored to each individual’s needs.
More recently, Carole completed an Introduction to CBT course at the University of Southampton. This training sharpened her focus on treating anxiety and depression. In addition, she attends regular training events through GamCare, enhancing her ability to support clients with gambling addictions.
Carole’s qualifications reflect her commitment to professional growth and excellence in therapy. She holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy and has completed specialised certificates in CBT, gambling and alcohol addiction, counselling skills, and motivational interviewing.
Throughout her career, she has worked closely with adults, young adults, and couples. Her role is not to judge but to facilitate change by offering a space filled with warmth, safety, and understanding. She believes that trust and connection are the cornerstones of successful therapy.
Carole provides a comprehensive range of therapeutic services, including addiction and mental health treatment. She helps individuals address challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, and self-harm. Her expertise also extends to specific addictions like alcohol, drugs, gambling, gaming, and even shopping.
In addition to her core services, Carole supports clients managing OCD, phobias, anger, bereavement, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. Because each client is unique, she adapts her approach to best suit their journey toward healing and recovery.
