Charlie Hamblet Psychotherapist Manchester has dedicated his career to supporting individuals through complex and challenging mental health issues. Since 1997, Charlie has worked as a psychological therapist, including many years of service in the NHS. His clinical work spans a wide range of conditions including anxiety disorders, psychosis, trauma, and personality disorders. Moreover, he has mentored other professionals by offering clinical supervision to therapists and psychologists.
With nearly three decades of therapeutic experience, Charlie brings both depth and insight into his clinical work. Throughout his NHS career and private practice, he has consistently delivered effective, evidence-based therapy. He integrates a compassionate and structured approach, allowing clients to feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their mental health journey.
Charlie’s journey began with a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Therapy from The University of Manchester’s Salford Cognitive Therapy Training Centre. Later, he served as a clinical tutor at this centre, sharing his expertise with upcoming therapists. Further advancing his skills, he completed a second Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Cognitive Therapy Studies at The Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre, a world-renowned institution.
Charlie is accredited by the British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapists, ensuring he maintains the highest professional standards. Additionally, he is a certified Advanced Schema Therapist, recognized by the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST). He also practices Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), holding full accreditation through EMDR UK. His credentials reflect a continuous commitment to professional growth.
Since 2008, Charlie has held the role of sessional therapist at the Priory Hospital Altrincham. His long-standing position reflects both trust and consistency in his practice. Clients benefit from his integrated therapeutic style, combining schema therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and EMDR.
