Claire Evans CBT Therapist Manchester offers specialised therapeutic support that is both evidence-based and deeply compassionate. Claire began her career as a psychiatric nurse. Since then, she has worked in diverse mental health settings, including inpatient care, forensic services, and young offender programs. This varied background shapes her flexible and practical approach today.
She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy from Sheffield Hallam University and is a Registered Mental Health Nurse. Additional qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Mental Health and advanced clinical nursing specialisms from Birmingham and Huddersfield Universities.
Claire has also completed formal training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). As a result, she integrates these techniques seamlessly to address complex emotional issues.
Claire works with both adults and young people. She supports clients facing depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), personality disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Many people also approach her for help with ADHD, autism, and attachment issues.
Furthermore, Claire assists those dealing with bereavement, trauma, and adjustment challenges. She takes a no-nonsense yet warm approach to treatment. She respects each person’s story and builds strong therapeutic relationships that promote growth.
