Clarissa Batista De Padua CBT Therapist Oxford offers professional and compassionate care to individuals facing emotional and psychological challenges. She works both in-person and online at the Priory Wellbeing Centre in Oxford, ensuring accessibility and comfort for every client. She began working with Priory in May 2024 and brings a deep commitment to evidence-based therapy.
Her approach combines core cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) principles with innovative third-wave techniques. These include acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), behavioural activation (BA), mindfulness, and functional analytical psychotherapy (FAP). As a result, clients benefit from a flexible and effective treatment experience.
Clarissa’s training and experience reflect her passion for supporting mental health. She graduated with a BSc in Psychology from Oxford Brookes University and later earned a Master of Science in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths University, London. Additionally, she holds a Level 2 Diploma in Counselling and has completed specialized training in Functional Analytical Psychotherapy.
Moreover, Clarissa actively attends continuing professional development (CPD) workshops. These include ACT, Schema Therapy Skills, and CBT-specific events. This commitment ensures her clients always receive the most current and effective therapy.
Clarissa offers a welcoming space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. She works especially well with individuals experiencing anxiety disorders and those on the autism spectrum. Her warm, empathetic nature encourages trust and openness throughout therapy.
Clarissa is a member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and is working towards full professional accreditation. She is also affiliated with the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science (ACBS), reflecting her interest in holistic and contextual approaches to mental health.
