Linia’s academic journey reflects her commitment to excellence. She graduated with a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Cape Town in 2003. Two years later, she earned an MSc in Nutrition and Dietetics, continuing her studies in South Africa before relocating to the UK.
In London, Linia further expanded her expertise by completing an MSc in Human Nutrition at King’s College London. During this time, she developed a strong interest in Sports Nutrition, which later became one of her specialist areas.
Her academic achievements culminated in 2020 with a PhD in Public Health from the University of Milan. Her doctoral research explored socioeconomic inequality and its impact on dietary patterns in the UK.
Linia never stops learning. She holds a Gut Microbiome Certification and a Diploma in Sports Nutrition awarded by the International Olympic Committee. Additionally, she is ISAK-certified with Level 1 training in Anthropometry, which equips her to assess body composition accurately—crucial for athletic and clinical nutrition plans.
As a British Dietetic Association spokesperson, Linia plays a vital role in public education. Her insights have featured on major UK programmes like BBC1 Breakfast, This Morning, Sky News, and Food: Truth or Scare. These appearances help spread evidence-based nutrition advice to a wider audience.
