She is a HCPC-registered and CSP-accredited physiotherapist dedicated to offering personalised, evidence-based treatment. From day one, she has focused on delivering excellent care across both NHS and private sectors.
Helen’s passion lies in helping clients manage neurological conditions such as Stroke, Brain Injury, Parkinson’s Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis (MS). She began her career after graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University. Soon after, she secured her first role at Scunthorpe District General Hospital, gaining vital experience across core physiotherapy disciplines.
Later, Helen transitioned to Doncaster Royal Infirmary. There, she specialised in Neurological Physiotherapy within acute care, rehabilitation wards, outpatient clinics, and community settings. This allowed her to develop advanced assessment and treatment skills tailored to each individual.
Four years ago, Helen took on a pivotal role with the Rotherham, Doncaster, and South Humber NHS Trust. Here, she built a dedicated physiotherapy service for Parkinson’s Disease patients from the ground up. Her mission remains clear: deliver compassionate and effective care that evolves with clinical research and best practices.
Helen also actively contributes at a regional level. She co-chairs the Parkinson’s Excellence Network, coordinating conferences with leading researchers and allied health professionals. This work helps to ensure high standards across the entire field.
Helen’s career reflects a commitment to learning and leadership. She has mentored junior physiotherapists, students, and assistants, all while ensuring her clients receive top-quality care. Helen integrates Bobath and Otago methods into her practice, enhancing both assessment and hands-on treatment.
She thrives in multi-disciplinary teams and strongly believes in holistic approaches. Every session focuses on functional outcomes, empowering clients to regain control and confidence in their movement.
Research plays a central role in Helen’s approach. She stays up to date with the latest clinical studies to guide her treatment plans. Her goal is to initiate her own research project soon, further contributing to advancements in neurological physiotherapy.
