Dr Kathryn Rivers GP Norwich: Appointments and Medical Education

Dr Kathryn Rivers GP Norwich leads a compassionate and efficient practice dedicated to exceptional care and clinical training. Therefore, our surgery supports the hands-on development of GP Registrars and Foundation Year 2 doctors (F2s). These doctors work under supervision and contribute actively to patient services. Moreover, their presence boosts our appointment availability.

Training Future GPs at Dr Kathryn Rivers GP Norwich

GP Registrars are doctors who are training to become General Practitioners. They usually complete at least two years in hospitals before joining us. Consequently, they bring real-world medical knowledge and practical experience. Registrars stay for up to one year. Furthermore, senior GPs supervise them closely to ensure safe and effective care.

Similarly, F2 doctors are in their second year of postgraduate medical training. Although fully licensed, they are still exploring their future specialty. For this reason, they spend four months in general practice settings. Additionally, our team mentors and supports them throughout their placement.
