Dr Rukhsar Akhtar GP Peterborough provides high-quality, patient-focused care while also supporting the next generation of medical professionals. Therefore, the practice regularly trains GP Registrars and Foundation Year 2 doctors (F2s). These qualified doctors are closely supervised. Moreover, they expand clinical capacity and contribute to excellent patient service.
GP Registrars are doctors working toward full qualification as General Practitioners. Typically, they have already completed two years of hospital rotations. Consequently, they bring up-to-date knowledge and clinical experience. They usually stay with us for up to one year. Furthermore, they work under daily guidance from experienced senior GPs.
Similarly, Foundation Year 2 doctors are licensed professionals in their second year of postgraduate training. Although fully qualified, they are still choosing a long-term specialty. For this reason, they rotate through general practice for four months. Additionally, our senior team supervises their work to ensure patient safety and care quality.
We offer a variety of appointment formats to suit individual preferences. For example, consultations can be by phone, in person, or via video. Likewise, follow-ups may happen through text or email. This system allows us to respond efficiently while offering flexibility.
