Alice Jarvis Integrative Psychotherapist Birmingham offers compassionate, professional psychotherapy to adults seeking support with their mental health. She works with individuals facing a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns, such as depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and identity issues. She takes a holistic approach to therapy, helping clients understand the deeper context of their struggles while working collaboratively to explore paths forward.
Creating a safe, trusting space is central to Alice’s practice. In this space, clients can explore life’s most difficult moments without fear of judgment. Every session is tailored to your unique experiences, needs, and goals.
Alice began her journey into mental health care in 2013 as a healthcare assistant at Priory, specialising in eating disorder support. After gaining valuable experience in direct care, she trained as a psychotherapist, completing her MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy at Birmingham City University in 2019. In early 2024, she returned to Priory, this time as a registered integrative psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
Her extensive academic and clinical background helps clients feel confident in the quality of care they receive.
Clients work with Alice on a wide range of concerns. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, navigating a period of grief, or seeking clarity in your identity, Alice provides thoughtful and effective support. She also has experience helping clients manage complex diagnoses such as bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, and personality disorders.
In every case, therapy is guided by respect, curiosity, and a shared commitment to change.
Alice holds a BSc(Hons) in Psychology from Aston University and a Master’s in Integrative Psychotherapy from Birmingham City University. Her research focused on the embodied experience of face-to-face therapy—how therapeutic presence and connection can communicate more than words.
This insight informs her ability to connect deeply with clients, even when the right words are hard to find.
Alice supports clients dealing with:
Eating disorders (including anorexia and bulimia)
Depression and seasonal affective disorder (SAD)
Anxiety, OCD, and phobias
Bereavement, trauma, and PTSD
Gender dysphoria and identity exploration
Stress, anger, and emotional regulation
Relationship difficulties and sexual dysfunction
Choosing a therapist is deeply personal. Alice brings warmth, skill, and integrity to each session. Through collaboration and empathy, she helps people reconnect with their strengths and discover new ways of living.
