Anita Devlin Consultant Paediatric Neurologist Newcastle offers expert care at Great North Children’s Hospital. Dr. Anita Devlin specialises in treating epilepsy, vagal nerve stimulation, the Ketogenic Diet, neurodisability, posture and movement disorders, and developmental vision impairments. With over three decades of experience, she provides comprehensive, tailored treatments for complex neurological conditions in children.
Dr. Devlin graduated from University College London Medical School in 1988. She completed specialist training in Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology at Oxford, Southampton, Aberdeen, London, and Newcastle. Her dedication to research earned her a higher doctorate (MD) in 2001. This extensive training equips her with a deep understanding of neurological disorders in children.
Her subspecialties include complex epilepsy and neurodisability. As the regional lead for paediatric epilepsy, Dr. Devlin leads clinics for diagnosing and managing complex epilepsy cases in childhood. She also provides advanced care for children undergoing vagal nerve stimulation and those on the Ketogenic Diet. Moreover, she manages complex neurodisability cases focusing on posture, movement, and vision disorders.
