At Athene Irving Physiotherapists, we offer a broad spectrum of physiotherapy services, specialising in neurological rehabilitation, orthopaedic recovery, and sports physiotherapy. Our holistic approach, which includes individualised care plans, ensures that each client receives the appropriate treatment for their specific condition.
We focus on stroke, brain injuries, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological conditions. Our goal is to restore function, enhance self-esteem, and improve the overall quality of life. We work closely with families and caregivers to create a comprehensive rehabilitation plan.
Vestibular rehabilitation therapy targets dizziness, vertigo, and balance disorders. We use specific exercises to reduce symptoms and improve functionality in daily activities, such as walking, driving, and engaging in recreational activities. Our team collaborates with ENT specialists and audiologists to manage vestibular conditions.
Our orthopaedic rehabilitation services focus on restoring mobility and strength following musculoskeletal injuries. We treat back pain, shoulder, knee, and ankle injuries, as well as post-surgical rehabilitation. Our aim is to help you return to normal activities as quickly and safely as possible.
We offer rehabilitation for older adults, particularly those at risk of falls or those recovering from illness. Our fall risk screening and fall prevention strategies help older adults maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life.
Our Pilates sessions are designed for rehabilitation purposes, focusing on improving musculoskeletal balance and posture. These sessions are individualised to meet each patient’s unique needs and are available as one-on-one sessions or in small groups.
We offer treatments that support breathing and lung function, including airway clearance techniques and breathing pattern therapy to manage conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and post-surgery respiratory care.
We specialise in the treatment of sports injuries involving muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Whether the injury is acute or long-standing, we aim to accelerate healing and prevent re-injury to help athletes return to their best performance.
For clients who are housebound or unable to visit the practice, we offer home visits in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. Our team will come to your home to provide the necessary physiotherapy treatment tailored to your needs.
Our practice is located in the convenient and accessible area of Meadowridge, Cape Town, providing services to clients across the Southern Suburbs. We pride ourselves on creating a compassionate, patient-centred environment, where all clients receive expert care, whether recovering from injury, surgery, or managing chronic conditions.
