About Mandy MacDonald
Dr Mandy MacDonald offers over 20 years of experience as a clinical psychologist. After completing six years of training at the University of New South Wales in Australia, she returned to the UK in 2012 to continue her practice. Since then, she has remained committed to professional development and clinical supervision to ensure the highest standards of care.
From 1998 to 2010, Mandy worked at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, where she supported individuals facing serious medical conditions. This role involved helping people manage anxiety, depression, grief, pain, and significant life adjustments. These experiences, combined with her ongoing training, shaped her integrative and compassionate approach.
In addition to her hospital work, Mandy ran a successful private practice in Sydney. There, she helped clients work through trauma, personal development challenges, perinatal mental health issues, and relationship breakdowns. She also collaborated closely with the Australian Defence Forces and the University of New South Wales Student Counselling Service.
Now based in Bath, Mandy is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society and registered with the HCPC as a specialist clinical psychologist. She has since founded the Bath ACT & Psychology Service, aiming to provide effective, accessible therapy for adults and older adolescents across the region.
