Welcome to my therapy practice, where I offer a safe and nurturing environment for individuals seeking support. Therapy is often prompted by deep suffering, which, though challenging, can act as a catalyst for profound transformation. This transformation, accompanied by a creative process and compassionate care, is at the heart of my work.
I understand that finding the right therapist is crucial to your healing journey. You need to feel comfortable, heard, and respected. With that in mind, let me tell you a little about myself and my background.
My journey into psychotherapy began with personal suffering, which led me to mindfulness practice. After experiencing the benefits of mindfulness first-hand, I pursued training as a Core Process Psychotherapist. In 2003, I qualified as a UKCP registered psychotherapist, marking the beginning of my professional journey in private practice. Since then, I have been providing therapy and supervision to individuals and organisations, helping clients navigate life’s challenges and find healing.
As a Director at the Karuna Institute, I am involved in UKCP recognised training in Mindfulness-based Core Process Psychotherapy, further deepening my expertise. My therapeutic approach is influenced by years of personal and professional growth, integrating mindfulness, compassion, and creative processes.
In my practice, I offer a range of services to support individuals and organisations. Each session is personalised to suit the unique needs of the client, with a focus on facilitating healing and transformation. Here are the key services I provide:
Psychotherapy provides a space for individuals to explore their inner world and make sense of their emotions, experiences, and behaviours. I work with clients facing a range of issues, including:
Trauma and resilience
Midlife transitions and spiritual crisis
Grief and loss
Anxiety, depression, and stress
Personal growth and self-awareness
Through a combination of mindfulness-based techniques and creative processes, my aim is to support clients in reconnecting with themselves and finding their path forward.
I also offer psychological consulting for organisations looking to improve wellbeing, resilience, and mental health in the workplace. My work with organisations includes developing strategies for creating a supportive environment, managing stress, and fostering interpersonal creativity.
For fellow therapists and practitioners, I offer supervision to help support professional development and ensure that your practice remains ethical, mindful, and effective. Supervision offers a space for practitioners to reflect on their work, gain insights, and ensure that they continue to provide the highest level of care to their clients.
My therapeutic approach is deeply influenced by a variety of personal and professional interests. From my background in holistic and complementary therapies, such as aromatherapy, to my ongoing studies in Celtic mythology, eco-psychology, and sacred plant medicine, I integrate a variety of techniques and perspectives into my work. I believe in the healing potential of nature and the land, and this perspective informs much of my practice.
In addition to my therapeutic work, I have written articles and taught on topics such as trauma, resilience, and wellbeing. These experiences continue to shape my approach to psychotherapy, as I aim to support clients in navigating life’s transitions, particularly those of midlife, when spiritual crises can often act as creative calls for change.
