Briohny graduated with honours from Monash University in 2004. She began her specialty training in 2007 at respected institutions like the Mercy Hospital for Women, Geelong Hospital, and The Northern Hospital. Her commitment to excellence led her to Canada in 2012, where she completed a fellowship in Perinatology at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women. On returning to Melbourne, she undertook two more years of advanced Maternal Fetal Medicine training at the Mercy Hospital for Women.
Through years of local and international experience, Briohny has developed a strong ability to manage both uncomplicated and high-risk pregnancies. She offers patients the reassurance of broad expertise and sharp clinical skills. Currently, Briohny holds a staff specialist position at the Mercy Hospital for Women. She also has private admitting rights at St Vincent’s Private Hospital. Beyond clinical care, she plays an active role in training future Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in both surgical techniques and ultrasound. As a result, her impact extends far beyond individual patients.
When she’s not in the hospital, Briohny embraces life as a mother of two young children. She enjoys baking, spending time with her family, and training for marathons. This balance of personal and professional life enriches her care philosophy, grounding her medical expertise in everyday empathy and understanding.
