Building Blocks Occupational Therapy is a private practice in Pinelands, led by Kris-Ann, a certified Ayres Sensory Integration (ASI) therapist, Tomatis® level 1 practitioner, and DIR® Floortime™ Provider. Kris-Ann has extensive experience working in sensory integration since her studies at the University of Cape Town and her community service year at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital.

- Detailed assessment of sensory functioning, gross and fine motor development, and visual-perceptual skills
- Feedback session with parents to discuss findings and provide recommendations
- Written report following the assessment
- Tailored therapy sessions based on the child’s needs
- Regular feedback to parents on progress
- Home activities provided to consolidate new skills
Additional Information
A child is typically referred for occupational therapy by a teacher, parent, or healthcare professional due to concerns about their development or behaviour. The initial interview with parents lasts 30-45 minutes, and the child does not need to attend. Therapy sessions are accompanied by a written report, and feedback is provided regularly. Parents are required to sign a contract to ensure that the account is settled.
