About Us

The CANSA Eikehof Care Home, located in Athlone, provides a vital home-away-from-home for cancer patients who live far from treatment centres. It offers a safe and supportive environment for patients undergoing treatment, sharing its premises with the CANSA Cape Metro Care Centre.

Patients typically stay at the Care Home for six to eight weeks, depending on the duration of their treatment, and may return home on weekends if feasible. While no nursing facilities are provided, the Care Home is staffed by dedicated CANSA personnel 24/7 to ensure a welcoming and secure atmosphere.

Our facility serves patients from across the Eastern, Northern, Southern, and Western Cape regions, including the Klein Karoo, making treatment more accessible for those living in remote areas.
