About

Cape Mental Health is South Africa’s oldest mental health organisation, dedicated to providing proactive mental health care services for over a century. Founded in 1913, we have played a pioneering role in shifting mental health treatment from institutionalisation to community-based support, counselling, and rehabilitation.

Our mission is to empower individuals with mental disabilities, ensuring they receive the education, care, and opportunities needed to live fulfilling lives.
