Cares Counselling Society, established in 1992, is a not-for-profit organisation that serves the Fraser Valley community. We aim to meet the mental, emotional, and relational health needs of individuals, couples, and families by offering high-quality counselling at subsidised rates. Our team is passionate about helping clients and believes in providing a safe, supportive environment for healing.
Our services are accessible to all, even those who might find standard rates prohibitive. We offer a sliding scale for session fees based on household income, subsidised by donations from our community. This enables us to keep services affordable and available to those who need them most.
At Cares Counselling Society, we offer various services designed to address a broad range of mental health challenges. Our experienced therapists provide tailored support to individuals, couples, children, and families facing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship issues.
Our individual therapy sessions are designed to help people work through personal challenges such as stress, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Clients can explore their emotions and develop coping strategies in a confidential, non-judgmental setting.
We offer couples and family therapy to support those dealing with relational conflicts or life transitions. Our therapists work with clients to strengthen relationships and resolve communication issues, promoting healthier, more supportive connections.
Children and adolescents often face unique emotional challenges. Our therapists use age-appropriate methods to help younger clients manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and navigate difficult situations, such as bullying or family changes.
Coping with the death of a loved one can be overwhelming. Our grief and loss counselling helps individuals process their emotions, adapt to life without their loved ones, and ultimately heal. We offer support tailored to each person’s needs.
Our trauma-informed therapists provide support for those who have experienced abuse or other traumatic events. Through compassionate therapy, clients can work through their past experiences and begin their healing journey.
Neurofeedback therapy trains the brain to self-regulate. It helps individuals with conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, and sleep disorders. This non-invasive treatment offers a powerful tool for mental health improvement.
At Cares, we believe in making therapy accessible to everyone. Each session costs us approximately $150, but we offer subsidised rates based on income. Our sliding scale ensures that clients can receive the help they need without the burden of high fees.
We’re always looking for qualified therapists to join our team. We are currently seeking professionals experienced in working with children. Please send us your resume, and we will keep it on file for potential future openings.
If you would like to learn more about our services or how we can help you, don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to support your mental and emotional health.
