Life’s challenges can be overwhelming, but no one should have to face them alone. I am Cathy Caples, a registered social worker in private practice, dedicated to providing professional and compassionate counselling services. My approach is client-centred, creating a supportive, non-judgmental space where individuals can openly express themselves and work towards meaningful change.
With years of experience supporting people through difficult life transitions, I believe that while not everything we face can be changed, change is only possible when we confront our challenges head-on. Through guidance and collaboration, I help clients navigate emotional struggles, trauma, and personal growth.
Every person’s journey is unique, and I tailor my counselling sessions to meet individual needs. My person-centred approach empowers clients to explore their emotions, identify challenges, and set personal goals. I provide support in the following areas:
Substance abuse and addiction recovery
Trauma counselling
Bereavement and loss support
Managing life’s transitions and challenges
Suicide assessment and intervention
For families going through legal proceedings, I offer professional supervision services. My role is to ensure the well-being of both parents and children during court-ordered visitations. I provide:
Supervised parent-child interactions
Support for families navigating separation or custody cases
Guidance on strengthening family bonds in a structured setting
Unexpected events can have a lasting impact on mental well-being. Whether you have experienced loss, abuse, or a traumatic life event, I offer a safe space to process your emotions and develop coping strategies. My expertise includes:
Crisis intervention for individuals dealing with trauma
Support for victims of domestic violence
Strategies for rebuilding resilience after distressing events
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Education and a Bachelor of Social Work (Hons). With 16 years of experience, I have worked extensively with families and individuals affected by substance abuse and trauma. My approach ensures that each client is treated with dignity, respect, and the autonomy to direct their own healing journey.
If you are seeking professional support to navigate life’s challenges, I am here to help. Contact me to schedule a consultation and take the first step towards healing and personal growth.
