Clinical Psychologist Slough
- Slough, UK
I am a clinical psychologist based in Green Point, Cape Town, offering both in-person and online therapy sessions. My passion lies in providing a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, understood, and valued. I aim to create a warm and empathetic environment, fostering trust and openness throughout the therapeutic process.
My academic journey began at the University of the Free State, where I earned my B.Soc.Sc. in 1991, followed by an Honours degree in 1992, and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology in 1995. To deepen my therapeutic approach, I undertook an intensive four-year post-graduate training with the Southern African Association of Jungian Analysts (SAAJA). This programme, accredited by the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP), led to my certification as a Jungian analyst in 2019. As part of this training, I engaged in an extensive personal analysis, which enhanced my understanding of analytical psychology and the therapeutic process.
I am fully bilingual, offering therapy in both English and Afrikaans. My approach is integrative, combining insights from Jungian analysis, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and person-centred therapy. I continually update my knowledge to incorporate the latest research and advancements in psychology.
I believe that therapy is not merely about managing symptoms but also about exploring the deeper stories and patterns that influence your life. My approach includes:
