Claire Lownie gratuated from Wits University. She faced a challenging journey from medical school to her current role as a registered Psychiatrist, in Sandton.

After completing her internship and community service, Claire encountered a life-altering diagnosis, leading her to navigate a career shift. Despite facing a prognosis with less than a 20% chance of 5-year survival, she embraced resilience.

Claire was unable to continue clinical medicine due to treatments and surgeries. She then transitioned to roles as a clinical trial coordinator and research program manager. Eventually, she became the Trauma Program Manager at Netcare Milpark Hospital, gaining insights into trauma and emergency medicine.

Claire completed a Master of Science in Emergency Medicine degree and gained clinical experience in various private Emergency Departments in Johannesburg. In 2012, she ventured into the corporate pharmaceutical environment, expanding her perspectives on mental health.

Combining her personal experiences with cancer and corporate exposure, Claire discovered a profound interest in Psychiatry, ultimately leading her to become a dedicated Psychologist in Sandton.
