Hello! I’m David, a qualified counsellor based in Anfield, Liverpool. I understand that life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and it’s often difficult to know where to turn. If you’re feeling this way, I am here to support you through these challenging times.
I offer a confidential and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings in safety, whether you prefer in-person sessions or remote therapy. As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I follow their ethical framework to ensure the highest standards of professionalism and care in my work.
My approach is grounded in Person-Centred Counselling, which means I focus on providing a compassionate, empathetic, and client-led environment. Together, we will explore your challenges, identify the obstacles you’re facing, and work towards personal growth and emotional well-being.
Individual Therapy
I offer individual therapy for people experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, or self-esteem issues, I can help you navigate these challenges with a person-centred approach. Together, we will explore your feelings, thoughts, and behaviours to promote healing and understanding.
Trauma Counselling
Specialising in trauma, I provide a safe space for those dealing with past trauma, including childhood experiences, abuse, or other distressing events. Trauma can have a lasting impact, and my approach helps individuals process these difficult memories and start the journey of recovery.
Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support
As a Pregnancy and Infant Loss Specialist, I offer dedicated support to individuals and couples who have experienced the loss of a baby. I also provide support for those navigating infertility and for parents experiencing the emotional challenges of subsequent pregnancies (Rainbow Babies). This service aims to offer understanding, healing, and coping strategies during one of life’s most difficult experiences.
Child and Adolescent Counselling
I also specialise in child and adolescent counselling, offering support to younger individuals who may be facing challenges such as bullying, anxiety, depression, or behavioural issues. I adapt my approach to suit the needs and communication styles of children and teenagers, providing a safe and comfortable space for them to express themselves.
With a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Counselling Theory and Practice, I have extensive training in both trauma and child/adolescent counselling. Additionally, my specialised training with the Foundation for Infant Loss has enabled me to support families dealing with pregnancy loss, infant loss, and infertility, offering them the care and understanding they need to heal.
My commitment is to provide a professional, compassionate, and confidential service. I understand that taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, but I am here to guide you through the process with empathy and respect. If you are ready to begin your therapeutic journey, please reach out to me today to arrange a consultation.
