Deniz Ahmet Integrative Psychotherapist Kent offers a compassionate, focused, and professional therapeutic experience. She is an accredited integrative psychotherapist, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and based at Priory Hospital Hayes Grove. Since joining Priory in July 2022, Deniz has worked directly with children, young people, and adults in both inpatient and day care settings. She facilitates therapeutic groups and engages in one-on-one sessions to help clients move forward.
Deniz takes an integrative therapeutic approach that adapts to each client’s needs. She combines techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and person-centred counselling. Moreover, she integrates mindfulness and self-care practices into every session, which enhances emotional resilience and clarity.
Clients benefit from this blend of techniques because it meets them exactly where they are. In turn, they gain tools that improve emotional regulation, build confidence, and promote healing. As therapy progresses, Deniz adjusts the approach to match the client’s evolving needs.
At times, words alone cannot capture the depth of one’s thoughts or emotions. Deniz recognises this challenge and uses creative techniques to help clients express difficult experiences. For instance, she may include visual tools or sensory methods to support self-expression in a safe and engaging way.
These techniques do more than make therapy accessible—they invite clients to explore new ways of understanding themselves. As a result, they often experience deeper breakthroughs and insights.
Deniz fosters a warm, non-judgemental, and welcoming space where clients feel truly heard. She collaborates with each person to identify goals and take meaningful steps toward emotional growth. Every session focuses on building trust, so clients feel secure enough to share openly and honestly.
In addition, Deniz believes in empowering clients to take ownership of their progress. With consistent support and clear direction, clients often notice improvements not only in therapy but also in daily life.
Deniz holds a BA (Hons) in Sociology with Psychology from Middlesex University. Furthermore, she earned a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Skills and Studies. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), a therapy designed to help individuals process trauma effectively.
Her academic background and hands-on experience allow her to deliver high-quality care with empathy and professionalism. She continues to expand her knowledge to offer clients the best possible therapeutic support.
Deniz supports clients facing a wide variety of emotional and psychological concerns. These include:
Anxiety and depression
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

Additionally, Deniz offers services within Private CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services). She helps young people develop the skills needed to manage emotions, relationships, and daily challenges with greater ease.
