Dr Andre F Botha – Ophthalmologist – Randburg practices at the Specialist Eye Centre in Randburg and consults at NHC Medical Centre in Northcliff. He earned his MBChB (Wits) in 2002 and completed his DTM&H (Wits) in 2003. Then, he pursued specialist training at the University of the Witwatersrand, obtaining his MMed (Ophth) (Wits) in 2012. Furthermore, he holds FC Ophth (SA) certification from the College of Ophthalmologists of South Africa, formally establishing his credentials in both medical and surgical eye care .

Following his specialist qualification, Dr Botha completed a Refractive Surgery Fellowship through the Refractive Surgery Alliance, sharpening his skills in advanced vision‐correction techniques. During his residency (2014–2019) at Wits, he received the Elie Dahan Ophthalmology Registrar of the Year Award in 2019 . In addition, he attended international courses such as the International Uveitis Study Group meeting in Venice in 2011 and the European Vitreoretinal Society Summer School in Bremen in 2015.
