Dr. Magnus completed her undergraduate studies at the University of the Witwatersrand in 1990, and then pursued her postgraduate training, earning her FC Psych qualification in 1996.

Throughout her career, Dr. Magnus has maintained an integrative approach to treatment, which considers the bio-psychosocial aspects of each individual.
