Dr David Plume GP Norwich leads a practice that combines high-quality patient care with a commitment to clinical education. Therefore, we regularly train GP Registrars and Foundation Year 2 doctors (F2s) under direct supervision. Moreover, their involvement improves appointment availability while contributing to the future of general practice.
A GP Registrar is a qualified doctor working toward becoming a GP. Before joining a practice, they typically complete at least two years in hospital medicine. Consequently, they bring strong clinical knowledge and fresh energy. Registrars remain at the practice for up to one year and receive constant mentoring from experienced trainers.
Similarly, F2 doctors are in the second year of postgraduate training. Although fully qualified, they are exploring their career options before entering a specialty or GP training. As a result, they complete a four-month placement in general practice. These doctors work under close guidance, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
We offer a range of appointment options to meet your needs. For example, you may be offered a consultation by phone, in person, or via video call. Likewise, some issues can be followed up by text or email. This approach allows us to offer convenient and responsive care to all our patients.
