Dr G Jong GP Leeds UK leads a thriving General Practice dedicated to high-quality student healthcare and advanced medical training. We focus on developing skilled, confident General Practitioners while meeting the everyday health needs of thousands of students in Leeds. Consequently, our practice combines education and compassionate care under one roof.
GP Registrars are doctors who have already completed years in hospital roles. However, they choose to pursue a long-term career in General Practice. For this reason, our practice gives them structured, real-world experience in a supportive setting.
Moreover, our Registrars engage directly with patients and receive guidance from experienced GPs. In addition, they strengthen key skills in communication, continuity, and patient management. As a result, they graduate ready to deliver excellent care in any community.
We are proud to have 21 doctors on our team—14 female and 7 male—each bringing unique strengths to our practice. Furthermore, they all share a passion for General Practice and student wellness.
Likewise, our doctors enjoy the opportunity to support a younger patient population. Despite the fast-paced environment, they maintain high levels of empathy and professionalism. For this reason, patients consistently receive thorough and respectful care.
We currently serve over 44,000 students from across Leeds who attend local universities and colleges. Consequently, we’ve built our services around the needs of young adults. These include mental health support, preventative screenings, sexual health services, and ongoing condition management.
In addition to our medical professionals, we employ more than 70 staff who support the daily operations of the practice. Moreover, our administrative and clinical teams work together to ensure every patient is seen, heard, and cared for. Hence, we deliver a seamless, responsive healthcare experience.
Although we manage a high number of patients, we never compromise on the quality of our care. In contrast, our systems and culture keep the focus on individual wellbeing.
