Dr Gil Rattner GP Norwich: Patient Appointments and Doctor Training

Dr Gil Rattner GP Norwich leads a trusted, community-focused practice that values both clinical care and medical education. Therefore, we support the training of GP Registrars and Foundation Year 2 doctors (F2s). These doctors provide supervised patient care while learning on the job. Moreover, their support allows us to offer more appointments and quicker access.

Training Future Doctors at Dr Gil Rattner GP Norwich

GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors who are training to become General Practitioners. Typically, they have completed at least two years in hospital settings before joining our team. Consequently, they bring strong clinical skills and a fresh perspective to the practice. Registrars usually stay with us for up to one year under the direct supervision of experienced GPs.

Similarly, F2 doctors are in the second year of their postgraduate training. Although they are fully licensed, they are still deciding on a medical specialty. For this reason, they rotate through a variety of clinical placements, including general practice. Furthermore, they work under constant supervision to ensure safe and effective care for every patient.
