About Dr Ian Grundlingh

Dr Ian Grundlingh is an experienced prosthodontist based in Bellville, Cape Town. He holds an undergraduate dental qualification from the University of Stellenbosch (2002) and further qualifications, including a Master’s Degree from WITS University and an Aesthetic Diploma from the University of Pretoria.

Dr Grundlingh actively contributes to the dental field, publishing articles in respected peer-reviewed journals such as the South African Dental Journal and the Journal of International Dentistry. He received the prestigious Charles Valcke Award in 2007 for the best poster presentation at the International Association of Dental Research (IADR).

He completed his compulsory community service in 2003 and practiced in private dentistry for over five years before taking a registrar post at the University of the Western Cape in Prosthodontics, where he graduated Cum Laude. Dr Grundlingh now practices in private practice and remains part-time involved with the University of the Western Cape.

Dr Grundlingh is also a registered ITI (International Team of Implantology) speaker and regularly presents at professional events such as SAAAD, SASD, and ITI congresses.
