Dr. JC Naran is a dedicated ophthalmologist based at Sandhurst Eye Centre in Sandton. She studied medicine at the University of Pretoria, graduating in 2000. After completing her internship and community service, she spent time in the UK exploring various fields of medicine. Upon returning to South Africa, she decided to specialize in ophthalmology. During her training at the University of the Witwatersrand, she rotated through the departments at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, and Helen Joseph Hospital. As a result, she qualified as an ophthalmologist in 2009.

Later, Dr. Naran worked as a consultant ophthalmologist at Sebokeng Hospital and Lenasia South Community Health Centre, where her main goal was reducing blindness caused by cataracts. Subsequently, she opened a private practice in Lenasia South and later in Rosebank. On February 1, 2021, she moved her practice to Sandhurst Eye Centre to further expand her services. Moreover, her passion for eye care drives her to continuously update her knowledge and skills.
