Dr. Jonel May Breytenbach is a passionate and dedicated female plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a special interest in breast surgery. She began her medical journey by earning her MBChB at the University of Stellenbosch. Following her internship and community service at Wits University, she initially pursued radiology. However, missing direct patient interaction, she transitioned to general surgery in 2013. In 2015, her commitment to patient care led her to specialize in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Sefako Makgatho University, completing her studies in May 2019.

In December 2019, Dr. Breytenbach established her private practice at Netcare Krugersdorp Hospital. Her dedication to continuous learning is evident from her MMed research in breast surgery, which she presented at the European Society of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgeons Congress in Cyprus in 2018.
