Dr Johan Charilaou – Orthopaedic Surgeon – Brackenfell brings over 15 years of dedicated expertise in hip and knee surgery. He graduated MBChB from the University of the Free State in 2007 and subsequently obtained FCOrth (SA) fellowship certification from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa in 2018 . Moreover, he earned an MMed (Orth), cum laude, from the University of Cape Town in 2019, solidifying his academic foundation in orthopaedic care.
During 2019, Dr Charilaou completed advanced subspecialist training with a fellowship in arthroplasty at Tygerberg Hospital’s Arthroplasty Unit.
