Dr. Karen Du Preez is a seasoned General Medical Practitioner at Intercare Blaauwberg Medical & Dental Centre in Parklands, Cape Town. She earned her medical degree from the University of Cape Town in 1998. Following her internship and community service, she expanded her clinical experience by working in the United Kingdom. Upon returning to South Africa, Dr. Du Preez served at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital for two and a half years, initially as a Senior House Officer and later as a registrar. She then transitioned to trauma care, working as a Casualty Officer at a private hospital for a year. Her diverse medical journey also includes a stint as a ship surgeon on the RMS St Helena. In 2004, she became one of the founding doctors at Intercare Blaauwberg and has been an integral part of the team since then.

Dr. Du Preez’s extensive background in paediatrics, trauma, and general practice equips her to provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages.
