Upon returning to South Africa, she finalized her specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Tygerberg Hospital in 2009. ​

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. du Toit actively participates in training future plastic surgeons. She serves as a sessional consultant in Paediatric Plastic Surgery at Tygerberg Hospital.
