Dr Lucy Mitchell GP Norwich leads a dedicated team focused on compassionate care and hands-on medical education. Therefore, our practice regularly hosts GP Registrars and Foundation Year 2 doctors (F2s). These trainee doctors work under supervision and support our ability to offer flexible appointments. Moreover, they help shape the future of general practice.
A GP Registrar is a qualified doctor in the final stages of becoming a General Practitioner. Before joining a practice, they typically complete two years in hospital settings. Consequently, they bring valuable clinical skills and fresh insights. Registrars remain with us for up to one year and receive close guidance from experienced GP trainers.
Similarly, Foundation Year 2 doctors are also fully qualified. However, they are still exploring career paths before committing to a specialty. For this reason, they spend four months in general practice. F2s contribute meaningfully to our services while gaining real-world experience. Furthermore, all their clinical work is closely monitored to ensure safe, high-quality care.
We offer multiple types of appointments to accommodate different patient needs. For instance, your consultation may take place by phone, face-to-face, or over video. Likewise, we may follow up via text or email depending on the situation. This variety allows us to provide timely, convenient care to all patients.
