Clinical Psychologist Slough
- Slough, UK
Dr Ragna Janßen Verhaltenstherapie Münster offers psychotherapy for adults in central Münster. The approach is based on behavioural therapy, tailored to each client’s unique needs. You will receive clear guidance, structure, and support as you work toward emotional well-being.
Therapy sessions support adults facing a wide range of psychological concerns. These include:
Depression, stress, or burnout
Anxiety, panic, or social fears
Trauma and related conditions
Low self-worth or identity issues
Psychosomatic symptoms or illness-related stress
ADHD in adulthood
Personality disorders
The treatment method is behavioural therapy. This evidence-based approach focuses on understanding and changing present-day patterns. However, it also explores deeper origins when needed. To better meet each client’s needs, techniques from schema therapy, trauma therapy, and emotion-focused therapy are also included.
The core of the work is to understand and shift behaviour. Together, we explore how unhelpful patterns started, why they persist, and how you can change them. As a result, you learn more about yourself and gain tools to make lasting improvements.
After this, you apply what you’ve learned to real-life situations. You test new ways of coping and handling symptoms. With support, this process becomes more manageable and effective. The structure of each session is flexible and based on your progress.
Equally important is rebuilding a compassionate connection to yourself. Psychotherapy is not just about managing symptoms. It’s also about helping you recover emotional strength and independence.
Initial Session
We start with a 50-minute meeting. You’ll get to know how I work and we’ll see if therapy is appropriate. If you have past reports or documents from your insurance, bring them with you.
Probatory Sessions
Up to four more sessions may follow. These help us assess your situation in more depth and clarify therapy goals. During this phase, your application for therapy is submitted to your insurer.
Ongoing Therapy
Once approved, weekly or biweekly sessions begin. Each session usually lasts 50 minutes, though double sessions are possible. The total number of sessions depends on your needs. Short-term therapy includes up to 24 sessions; long-term therapy includes up to 60.
The practice accepts public and private insurance. Therapy is available for adults aged 18 and above. Bundeswehr members and self-pay clients are also welcome.
Private Insurance and Aid
Most private insurers cover outpatient therapy. However, coverage differs widely. Some plans only pay part of the cost or limit the number of sessions. It’s best to ask your provider about your specific terms before we start.
Bundeswehr Clients
If you serve in the Bundeswehr, you may attend therapy here after obtaining a cost approval from your military medical service. Up to five probatory sessions are covered first. Continued therapy requires approval from your medical officer.
Self-Paying Clients
You can also cover your therapy costs yourself. In this case, your information stays private and isn’t shared with insurance. Fees follow the standard Psychotherapy Fee Schedule (GOP).
