Dr Richard Sykes – Psychiatrist – Pretoria East practices at Mental Vitality, housed within Denmar Specialist Psychiatric Hospital. He earned his MBChB from the University of Pretoria in 1997 and subsequently completed an MPharmMed (Pharmacology) in 2004. Furthermore, he obtained his MMed (Psychiatry) with distinction in 2005 and became a Fellow of the College of Psychiatrists (SA) that same year.

After qualifying, Dr Sykes served as a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry in Scotland, gaining valuable international experience. Then, in 2007, he returned to South Africa to establish his private practice in Pretoria East. Moreover, he holds a part-time consultant post at Weskoppies Hospital, where he contributes to both patient care and registrar training.
