Dr Sara Tookey Clinical Psychologist London brings over 20 years of experience in psychology. She has worked across the NHS, charities, universities, and private practice in the UK, USA, and India. She combines clinical work with teaching, research, and consultation. Her commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care guides every part of her practice.
Dr Sara Tookey works as an integrative therapist. She draws on multiple evidence-based methods such as CFT, EMDR, ACT, Existential Therapy, attachment-informed therapy, and systemic approaches. She creates a collaborative and open therapeutic space. Each session focuses on compassion, understanding, and practical progress. Her goal is to empower clients with tools for lasting change.
Sara specialises in working with high-masking and “high-functioning” neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism. She also supports clients facing gender, sex, and relationship diversity, including non-traditional partnerships. Sara holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Birmingham. She earned an MA in Existential Psychotherapy from Seattle University and a BA in Psychology from Western Washington University. She also gained a PGCert in Higher Education Teaching. Her continuous training includes ADHD diagnostic assessment, EMDR, systemic therapy, and GSRD work.
Sara is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and an Associate Fellow. She is a registered practitioner psychologist with the HCPC and a full member of the Association for Clinical Psychologists UK.
