Dr Si Win Consultant Psychiatrist Surrey has delivered outstanding psychiatric care since 2018 at Priory Hospital Woking. He supports both inpatients and outpatients, managing everything from anxiety and depression to psychosis and complex trauma-related disorders.
In addition to his private practice, Dr Win plays a vital role in the NHS within a Hampshire-based Community Mental Health Team. He is well-known for his compassionate approach and is deeply respected by his multidisciplinary colleagues. His earlier NHS experience spans over a decade, where he worked in both hospital and home treatment teams, building deep clinical insight.
Moreover, Dr Win acts as an expert psychiatric adviser for a global health insurance provider. His role involves offering second opinions, shaping mental health care policies, and leading training programs for staff internationally.
Dr Win remains at the forefront of psychiatric innovation. He pioneered smart phone-based psychiatric consultations through a leading London tech company. As a result, patients now enjoy more flexible and accessible mental health care than ever before.
This forward-thinking approach ensures that his services keep pace with modern needs, especially as demand for telehealth continues to rise.
Dr Win earned his medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Leicester in 1999. He completed psychiatric training via the St George’s scheme in South West London by 2006. By 2010, he achieved the esteemed MRCPsych qualification from the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
In 2013, he furthered his leadership skills by completing a postgraduate certificate in Leadership and Service Improvement through a collaborative NHS Leadership Academy program.
Alongside clinical work, Dr Win drives key service improvements. As project lead, he developed an alert system using patients’ mobile phone alarms to improve medication adherence and treatment outcomes.
Currently, he collaborates with his community team to expand video consultation services, promoting greater accessibility for patients in need. Additionally, he has contributed significantly to Mental Health Act reform in the NHS, ensuring more streamlined, patient-centred care.
Dr Win has chaired the North West Hampshire Hospital Consultant Group, championing best practices and innovative solutions across NHS teams. He also teaches psychiatric trainees and medical students, consistently helping them excel.
He is a published author and remains engaged in clinical research, adding to the evolving field of mental health.
