Dr Zak Blake GP Norwich leads a modern, patient-first medical practice that also supports the training of future doctors. Therefore, we host GP Registrars and Foundation Year 2 doctors (F2s), who work under the supervision of experienced clinicians. Moreover, their presence boosts appointment capacity and brings fresh clinical perspectives to our team.
A GP Registrar is a fully qualified doctor completing advanced training to become a GP. They usually work in hospitals for at least two years before joining us. Consequently, they bring a strong foundation in clinical care. Registrars typically stay with us for up to one year and are directly supervised by our senior GPs.
Similarly, Foundation Year 2 doctors are also fully licensed medical practitioners. However, they are still choosing their future specialty. For this reason, they rotate through general practice for four months. During this time, F2 doctors support patient care while receiving structured training. Furthermore, their involvement helps us provide more flexible access for patients.
We offer various types of appointments to suit different needs. For instance, you may speak with a doctor over the phone, face to face, or by video call. Likewise, we may follow up via text or email when appropriate. This flexibility ensures we can serve you quickly and efficiently.
