Clinical Psychologist Slough
- Slough, UK
Ebor Psychology Service is an independent Clinical Child Psychology practice based in York. Dr Fiona Lattimer and Dr Robert Caswell lead the service. They bring over 15 years of experience working in the NHS, private, and voluntary sectors. They support children, young people, and families facing a variety of emotional and behavioural challenges. Their work spans schools, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), children’s hospitals, and specialist assessment units.
They started Ebor Psychology Service after receiving requests from families and schools seeking timely, child-centred psychological support. Dr Lattimer and Dr Caswell use an integrative, collaborative approach. They combine techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, interpersonal therapy, behaviour therapy, and systemic approaches. They prioritise building strong therapeutic relationships and work closely with clients and professionals to achieve meaningful change.
Both clinicians hold registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Additionally, Dr Lattimer is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. The service accepts health insurance from several providers, which may cover assessments and therapy.
Ebor Psychology Service offers detailed assessments and therapy for children and young people. They address issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, behavioural difficulties, post-traumatic symptoms, and neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and attention difficulties.
During assessments, the clinicians identify core challenges and develop personalised intervention plans. Typically, clients attend one or two assessment sessions followed by four to ten therapy sessions. Each session lasts about 50 minutes. The team monitors progress carefully to ensure clients gain maximum benefit.
Besides direct work with families, the service provides consultation to professionals in education, social care, youth justice, and medical sectors. This helps teams better meet the emotional and psychological needs of children under their care.
They also deliver tailored training on mental health topics and therapeutic methods. Training sessions adapt to the audience’s experience level, content needs, and preferred style.
Ebor Psychology Service maintains strong links with local healthcare professionals. These include a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Speech and Language Therapists, and Mental Health Nurses. The team collaborates closely with these experts to provide multidisciplinary support when necessary.
Dr Lattimer and Dr Caswell offer clinical supervision to psychologists and mental health practitioners. They provide guidance and support to help maintain high professional standards.
