Description

Elene Robson Clinical Psychologist Devon

Elene Robson Clinical Psychologist Devon brings over 20 years of dedicated clinical experience. I work closely with children, adolescents, young people, parents, and families. My goal is always clear: to support emotional, behavioural, and psychological wellbeing. I provide a safe and understanding space where progress feels possible.

Extensive Experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health

I built my career within the NHS, focusing on child and adolescent mental health. For over a decade, I specialised at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, Devon. There, I supported children and young people with physical health conditions linked to anxiety and low mood. Later, I became Clinical Lead in South Devon for a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. This service focused on eating disorders, and I continue part-time in that role. Alongside this, I see clients through The Family Psychology Practice.

Therapeutic Approaches Tailored for Each Family

My work integrates several therapeutic models to meet each individual’s needs. I trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Family Therapy, and Attachment-based approaches. I also use Adolescent-Focused Therapy for Anorexia, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-based methods. This wide training allows me to adapt my style. As a result, families and young people benefit from flexible and effective care.

Commitment to Families Across Devon

I hold a passion for helping families in Devon move forward with confidence. Every person deserves personalised support, and I build trust by listening first. Whether addressing low mood, anxiety, or eating disorders, I guide with compassion and expertise. My focus remains on practical progress and positive change.
