About Emily Russell

Emily Russell is a warm, empathetic, and highly experienced integrative therapeutic counsellor based in Canterbury. She brings a creative background, combining her expertise in Fine Art, education, and care work to offer a unique and tailored counselling experience. Emily believes that counselling provides a safe, supportive space where individuals can explore their challenges, foster self-awareness, and create meaningful positive change in their lives.

As a fully qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Emily regularly engages in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development to maintain the highest standards of practice. She offers both short-term and longer-term therapy, ensuring that sessions progress at a pace comfortable to each client. Her integrative approach draws on person-centred theory alongside intersubjective psychology, attachment theory, transactional analysis, and gestalt psychotherapy.
