Turquoise Counselling Collective is a small, trusted and welcoming service based in the heart of Canterbury. Co-founded by experienced Integrative Therapeutic Counsellors Emily Russell and Rosemarie Savage, our collective was established with a shared vision: to offer local people a personal, compassionate, and high-quality counselling experience.
We provide a calm, homely therapy space in Canterbury city centre and are currently welcoming new clients. Whether you’re seeking support for a particular issue or simply need space to reflect and grow, we offer a warm, non-judgemental environment where your voice matters.
Our counsellors bring a wealth of professional and life experience to their work, supporting both adults and young people through a wide range of life challenges. As registered members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), we are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical care, including principles of dignity, respect, autonomy, and inclusivity.
We offer a wide range of therapy formats, allowing you to choose what suits you best. Sessions are available in-person, online, over the phone, and even outdoors. We also offer weekend and evening appointments, recognising that flexibility matters when life feels busy or uncertain.
We work with clients on both a short-term and long-term basis and always begin with a free introductory consultation. This session helps you explore whether our approach fits your needs without any pressure or financial commitment. If you choose to continue, standard sessions last 50 minutes, with fees starting from around £60. Concessions and student discounts may be available—please ask for details.
Our therapeutic work covers a broad spectrum of issues, including but not limited to:
Depression, anxiety, panic disorders, and low mood
Trauma, abuse, and neglect in its many forms
Relationship and family challenges, including couples counselling
Neurodivergence, including autism, ADHD, and learning differences
Women’s health, bereavement, identity, and self-worth
Work-related stress, redundancy, and life transitions
Self-injury, suicidal thoughts, and risk-taking behaviours
We also support clients with mindfulness and grounding techniques to promote emotional wellbeing and resilience.
At Turquoise Counselling Collective, we understand that counselling isn’t only for moments of crisis. It can also be a powerful space to reflect on how you’re living, consider new possibilities, and grow into the person you want to become.
If we believe that our service may not be the right fit for you, we’ll be honest and aim to support you in finding a more suitable provider. Our priority is that you receive the help you need, whether it’s with us or elsewhere.
We’re proud of the collaborative, ongoing professional development we share as a team. By supporting one another and learning continuously, we ensure that our clients benefit from a counselling service grounded in care, knowledge, and integrity.
If you’re ready to begin, reach out to arrange your free consultation. You’re welcome here.
