Hello, I’m Emma, a qualified counsellor and a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). With over 15 years of experience, I’ve been offering professional therapy services, focusing on the emotional well-being of my clients. Before starting my private practice, I worked in bereavement counselling, where I helped people cope with profound loss.
I am passionate about lifelong learning and enjoy working with diverse clients. My goal is to provide therapy that is meaningful and tailored to individual needs. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and self-understanding. My approach helps clients explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. This leads to greater self-acceptance and confidence.
In my practice, I offer both counselling and coaching, using various therapeutic techniques. The core of my work is the belief that everyone has the inner resources to live a fulfilling life. My sessions are designed to help clients understand their emotions, enabling them to make empowered decisions.
My experience also extends to leadership development and organisational culture. I’ve guided teams through challenging situations and change. This experience has helped me develop strong coaching skills, which I incorporate into my therapy practice. I work with individuals dealing with mental health issues, work-related stress, relationship challenges, and significant life changes such as illness or redundancy.
I am deeply committed to personal and professional growth. To ensure my practice remains effective and up-to-date, I attend regular training and receive ongoing supervision. This helps me improve my practice and continue providing the best care for my clients.
Beyond my qualifications, my own life experiences as a wife, mother, and friend allow me to better understand and empathise with clients. I believe this holistic approach is key to successful therapy.
Additionally, I offer supervision for fellow therapists. This service provides a safe, reflective space where professionals can discuss challenges, gain insights, and improve their practice.
If you’re seeking compassionate support to navigate a challenging time, please reach out. Together, we can work on your personal growth and emotional well-being.
