Journey of Filip Pasterski Integrative Psychotherapist London

Filip began his career in 1994 at the Priory Hospital Altrincham as an auxiliary nurse. Although he studied languages and social sciences in London, he felt a strong calling back to psychotherapy. This led to a lifelong commitment to emotional wellbeing and mental health care.

He trained as a psychotherapist and EMDR practitioner, building experience in both NHS and private sectors. His clinical journey spans diverse therapeutic environments, each one enriching his approach.

A Tailored, Compassionate Approach to Psychotherapy

Filip applies a broad skill set in evidence-based therapies. At the heart of his work is the therapeutic relationship—built with care, trust, and mutual respect. Each session is tailored to the client’s individual needs, ensuring meaningful and lasting change.

His special interest in EMDR therapy supports people recovering from trauma, anxiety, depression, and even chronic pain. Through targeted techniques, clients experience emotional relief and renewed clarity.

Filip Pasterski’s Role at Priory

In 2019, Filip joined the Priory Wellbeing Centre Harley Street after leaving a full-time NHS role. His long-standing relationship with Priory began in 2001 at Roehampton Hospital. There, he worked as a Nursing Assistant and ‘Keyworker’ before becoming a qualified psychotherapist in 2008.

Diverse Training in Integrative Therapies

Filip trained at Regent’s University, where he gained deep knowledge of integrative, humanistic, existential, and psychodynamic therapies. His placements involved working with cognitive behavioural and third-wave therapies, such as ACT and mindfulness.

His linguistic background supports cross-cultural sensitivity. Working with interpreters and in multiple languages has enhanced his ability to connect with a diverse client base.

Research, Expertise, and Continued Learning

Filip’s training in EMDR was completed in 2009. He is now a fully accredited practitioner with a passion for treating complex and recent trauma. He also has experience working with military veterans.

His Master’s dissertation explored psychotherapy’s role in treating bipolar disorder. He remains deeply committed to this field, with further training in psychoeducation and relapse prevention.
