At the Glasgow Cognitive Therapy Centre (GCTC), we prioritise high-quality, professional therapy. Our goal is to create a positive, supportive environment for every client. Whether you’re seeking individual therapy, couples support, or professional training, we tailor our services to meet your unique needs.
Our team of therapists specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a proven approach to managing a range of mental health concerns. We provide a confidential space where you can explore your emotions, develop healthier thought patterns, and work towards positive change.
CBT is a highly effective treatment for anxiety, depression, stress, and other emotional challenges. Our experienced therapists help you identify and challenge negative thoughts and behaviours. Through practical techniques, you’ll learn how to manage distress and improve your mental wellbeing. Whether you need short-term support or long-term guidance, CBT can help you take control of your mental health.
For those pursuing a career in therapy, we offer entry-level courses in CBT. Our training prepares you to become a qualified CBT therapist. The next course starts in September 2025. This part-time diploma provides comprehensive training and is accredited by the SQA.
We also offer training for organisations, focusing on employee wellbeing. Our workshops cover stress management, resilience building, and emotional intelligence. Additionally, we provide individual therapy for staff who need extra support. By addressing mental health, we help organisations create healthier, more productive environments.
Our couples therapy service helps partners build stronger, healthier relationships. If you’re facing communication challenges, trust issues, or emotional disconnection, therapy can provide a space for understanding and healing. We support couples in improving their relationship dynamics and emotional connection.
If you’re ready to start your therapy journey, we offer flexible options. Choose between in-person sessions at our Glasgow centre or online therapy. All personal therapy inquiries are handled with the utmost confidentiality and privacy.
In addition to therapy, we offer accredited courses for those seeking to advance their counselling skills. Our Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is COSCA validated and credit-rated by the SQA. It begins in September 2025 and runs over two years part-time.
Our New COSCA Counselling Skills Course is available online and in-person, starting in May 2025. This course provides 40 credits at SCQF Level 8 and is ideal for those starting a counselling career.
