Heidi January & Aisha Said Physiotherapy Foreshore began with two passionate professionals, Heidi January and Aisha Said. Both graduated from the University of the Western Cape with B.Sc degrees in Physiotherapy. Their careers took off in the early 2000s at Christian Barnard Memorial Hospital, where they worked in the Adult and Paediatric ICU wards. From the start, they were determined to make a difference in the field.
In this demanding medical environment, Heidi and Aisha sharpened their expertise in Chest Physiotherapy. Their dedication to critically ill patients led them to develop a deep understanding of Pulmonary Rehabilitation. As a result, they focused on supporting individuals suffering from acute illnesses, ensuring optimal recovery and respiratory function. Furthermore, they continuously refined their techniques to provide the best possible care.
Over time, We recognised the growing need for accessible outpatient chest physiotherapy services. Therefore, they expanded their expertise beyond hospital settings, offering vital care to a broader community. This transition allowed them to bring specialised pulmonary rehabilitation to those who needed it most. Additionally, their outreach efforts helped bridge the gap between hospital care and long-term recovery.
At the core of their practice lies a deep commitment to holistic treatment. Heidi and Aisha specialise in treating both acute and chronic lung conditions. Moreover, their approach goes beyond conventional methods, integrating personalised pulmonary rehabilitation programmes. Each plan is tailored to the patient’s unique needs, enhancing overall health, physical well-being, and quality of life. Consequently, their patients experience improved respiratory function and greater independence.
it’s a vision for better respiratory health. Their goal is not just to treat conditions but to make a lasting impact. Therefore, they provide exceptional care for both adults and children, ensuring each patient receives the highest level of treatment. Most importantly, they remain dedicated to improving lives, one breath at a time.
