Hervey Bay Physio & Allied Health

Helping You Move Well for Life

About

Hervey Bay Physio & Allied Health has been a trusted name in the local community for over 20 years. Since opening our doors, we’ve grown both in team size and in the range of services we offer. Our goal has always stayed the same: helping people move better, feel stronger, and live fuller lives.

We currently offer Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology, and we’re looking ahead to include even more services such as Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, and Podiatry. Our clinic is designed to bring together a variety of health experts in one place, making it easier for patients to receive consistent, connected care.

Working together under one roof allows our therapists to communicate closely and create a united approach to each patient’s care. It also speeds up referrals and ensures that every part of your treatment works smoothly from start to finish.

Our private consultation rooms are quiet, modern, and comfortable, helping you feel at ease during each visit.

State-of-the-Art Rehab Gym

In August 2021, we opened Hervey Bay’s largest onsite rehabilitation gym, complete with advanced equipment and expert support. The gym is designed to help you get moving again—whether you’re recovering from injury, managing a long-term condition, or simply wanting to improve your strength and balance.

We offer:

  • One-on-one exercise and strengthening programs

  • Group fitness sessions

  • Tailored training for complex conditions

Group Classes

We currently run several popular programs, including:

  • Hydrotherapy

  • Clinical Pilates

  • Neurological Rehabilitation (ideal for Parkinson’s or Stroke)

  • Pulmonary Rehabilitation

  • Weights for Wellness – a gentle strengthening class that also targets balance, bone health, and fall prevention

  • Lungs in Action – maintenance for pulmonary rehab patients

  • GLA:D – a targeted program for those with hip and knee osteoarthritis

Many of our classes are eligible for rebates from Private Health Funds, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and Type 2 Diabetes referral plans. If you’re unsure what’s covered, our reception team is always happy to help guide you through your options.

All sessions are led or supervised by our qualified Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists. Some programs may also include assistance from trained Allied Health Assistants under professional guidance.
