About Us

Jacques Erasmus Physiotherapists was founded in September 2005, with the mission of providing exceptional physiotherapy services to patients at the UCT Private Academic Hospital, also known as the “hospital with heart.” Since then, our practice has grown into a dedicated team of highly skilled professionals, boasting over 25 years of combined experience in physiotherapy. We are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care to individuals from a wide range of demographics, from inpatients to outpatients, with a focus on personalised and effective treatments.

Operating within UCT Private Hospital, our team is dedicated to providing comprehensive physiotherapy services to a diverse set of patients, including those recovering from surgery, those in intensive care, and outpatients seeking rehabilitation and preventive care.

Services

Jacques Erasmus Physiotherapists offers a wide range of physiotherapy services, catering to both inpatients and outpatients. We believe in delivering personalised treatment tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

In-Patient Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy services for inpatients are provided at the UCT Private Academic Hospital upon referral from a treating consultant, surgeon, or physician. Our team helps to manage post-operative recovery, assist with medical conditions, and aid in rehabilitation for patients in the intensive care unit.

Outpatient Physiotherapy

For outpatients, individuals can visit our practice without a referral, unless required by their medical aid. We offer personalised treatment plans for those experiencing musculoskeletal pain, recovering from surgery, or needing rehabilitation for various conditions.

Assessment and Treatment

  •  A thorough assessment of your injury or condition is conducted to determine the underlying causes and help develop a tailored treatment plan.
  • Based on your needs, we utilise various treatment modalities to help manage and treat your pain, improve function, and prevent recurrence. Our treatments are designed with your recovery and long-term well-being in mind.
  •  If necessary, we provide referrals to other healthcare professionals or specialists to ensure the best possible outcome for your condition.
